Whether I’ll ever be fortunate enough to meet you in real life or even have you see me on Tumblr, I don’t know but I think now would be appropriate for me to share with you what this picture means to me. Realise… that I’ll never be mad or upset if I never meet you. I’ve accepted that. But to all the people you reach out to that consider themselves different from the norm, I have something of great interest that would capture your attention in this picture.

The picture is a part of a video clip where you apparently are playing “Twinkle Twinkle Little Stars” at age 2 on that day, March 25, 1992, which I presume when the video was filmed of you. That also happens to be the exact date that I was born. But hold on… it gets crazier than that. My interpretation of what you played is that that being the first song you ever played, I assume, was a preface in a way of you reaching out to all your music fans you would later have. I believe all those little ‘stars’ that twinkle are your fans out there hearing about you and wanting to know about you, including all of those that you get to meet and don’t get to meet.

What blew my mind even more was the name I was given that even though I was born and raised in the US, I was given a Chinese name as well as an English name. My Chinese name was what I thought of when you played “Twinkle Twinkle Little Stars;” my name means ‘Heaven’s Promise.’ Chinese names, traditionally, are unique like mine.

To show you how rare mine is, I’ve met one other Chinese person in my life that happened to have that same name and was a girl (and according to a lot of native Chinese people they’ve usually never heard of such a name and the meaning of my name is not usually meant to ascribe to naming someone).

So the fact that you sang this song on that day was not only special to all your soon-to-be fans out there, but a very warm welcoming of me coming to this world on that day. I was born close to early evening. That’s why the picture was so lucky that I came across it and honestly means more to me than to see you follow me on Tumblr.

As horrible of a time I have expressing emotion outwardly, inside I’m just doubled over in uncontrollable laughter (coincidentally the meaning of my middle name, Isaac). I also do have a wish greater than going to one of your concerts/shows. That wish even if I don’t ever get to see it happen is just to go on a hike with you and have a conversation to tell you more about me and how we seem to be especially similar. Like those birthday wishes that you never tell anyone or a wish you make seeing a falling star neither of which I’ve done, I make this my wish and just imagine seeing a star up in the sky that looks down at me and that star is you even though I may never get close to it.

When I tell you about myself, I think you’ll be convinced that I’m more an angelic being than a human being. But that’ll be for you to decide. As I’m writing this to you, I’m listening to “All Too Well” from your Red album, just to randomly put that out there, dunno why I want to say that.

I know that talking about personal guy relationships is a sensitive topic for you when interacting with media or your fans. But to touch delicately and superficially on this matter, I just wonder if your life now takes on a path that only allows you to be intimate friends with only ‘high-profile’ guys, those that are celebrities or if you’ll ever meet a non high profile type guy, just the ordinary guy who doesn’t have any special recognised status even though he’s special in an unrecognised way.

My whole life has felt that I’ve been unrecognised even within my own blood ties. But I don’t expect you to be the one to recognise me. I may continue the rest of my life unrecognised by a single soulmate. Regardless how the wheel of fate spins for me, I’ll always look up and see that star (you) shining down on me and know that there’s someone way out there as special as me – ‘Heaven’s Promise.’ 🌠
