@mcnarchs has come to ruin my life
Just when she thought she was improving -- getting better and doing better without him -- he would worm his way right back into her life; make himself so known and prominent that she simply could not ignore him, nor his antics. She’d read about ways to move on; that she should not give him a rise because it would show that she hadn’t moved on at all -- but that was the truth, wasn’t it? She hadn’t budged since the day he’d left, and it had been a good while since that day.
“...--you have to stop doing this, Jesse,” she would not even dare to look at him; almost ashamed that she had said yes to his offer of meeting and yet she had been the one who arrived first - though she could never keep her eyes from him for long, “it’s... unfair. What you’re doing.”
