honestly? bones and teeth (yes, i know teeth are bones, but we don't often associate them as bones), but specifically bones and teeth that have been cleaned and sun bleached. if they are fresh from the body, they usually are bloody and gross, which is something he doesn't like. as a result, he will spend time cleaning them by hand and then leaving them outside to be bleached by the sun.

joy looks like his wife adrea on a warm summer day at the farmer's market. when she crouches to give a child one of the flowers from the bouquet she just bought. giving a dog a strawberry just because. laughing at a bad joke an old man's told her. looking back at him with a twinkle in her eyes.
