Hello and welcome to the MCYT Shop Event!

I’ve been participating in tons of events lately, and I thought why not host one myself? So here we are!

What’s this Shop Event?

You will be put into teams for the event. And you and your team will run a shop — but this isn’t just any shop! You’ll be battling to keep your business alive while other shops try to run you into bankruptcy. Lots of teamwork, creativity, and a little bit of chaos.

The shop event is all MCYT fandoms. Both writers and artists too!

We also allow spectators and pitch hitters, if you wanna join the discord and not play, we will be adding a discord link shortly (People who are playing can use this link too!)

Gameplay!

In this game, you work in a team of other amazing people. Altogether, you are a team with a set amount of health points. Each team will start with the same amount of health.

You'll be creating gifts—but these gifts aren't just normal gifts! They do things!

In this event, you can either attack or heal. Normally, you will heal your own team and attack another team.

Writers

Attacking

Every 150 words is 100 damage.

The minimum is 300 words.

Earn a total of 25 money from each attack

Healing

You heal the amount from the amount of words.

The minimum is 500 words.

Each work costs a total of 50 money.

Artists

Attacking

The minimum for the work is a clean sketch of the character which gives 200 damage.

To add more:

Extra Character - 50 Extra character with color - 100 Detailed background - 150

Healing

The minimum for the work is a clean sketch with color which gives a total of 500 healing.

To add more:

Extra Character - 50 Extra character with color - 100 Detailed background - 150

Please note: You cannot exceed your team’s starting HP. For example, if your team starts with 100 health points and someone takes away 75, then a teammate makes a gift that heals 100 HP, only 75 of those points will be restored. The extra 25 will go to waste.

But Wait... There’s a Twist!

Meet the Traitor!

One mysterious player is secretly working against their own team. On each team, there is one traitor.

-Instead of healing their team, they’ll attack by gifting attacking works to their own team.

-Instead of attacking other teams, they’ll heal them by giving fics or art to other teams.

Only the traitor knows who they are…. and the mods.

Minimum word counts and art rules still apply — traitors have to follow them too (just sneakily).

And who knows… maybe all the traitors are able to talk to each other and plan? (Hint, Hint)

Winning the Game:

We’ll keep playing until only one team is left standing and everyone has received at least one gift..

Or if the mods run out of time. Either way, we’ll make sure everyone gets something fun out of it.

Rules:

Be kind and respectful to all participants.

You must be in the Discord Server for team coordination.

All works must go to participants in the event and must respect their DNWs, ships, and requested tags.

No NSFW works, sorry! Only SFW is allowed, however, mature-rated fics are fine as long as there's no sexual contact and they are tagged correctly.

Tag your work properly.

Don’t be mean that includes to the traitor. It’s all part of the fun!

I really like this one I've been trying to decide how I wanted to draw Grian's watcher traits and I've kinda settled on this one! how ever i don't think that this is like his full watcher form ya know?

also newish style I've been trying to loosen it up a bit and i like the results

i'm making this post because the fact that people don't believe there's harassment happening is wild. it's been happening since the usmp was announced. it got worse when the racism issue on the qsmp happened, which i felt very strongly about speaking out on, and has honestly not stopped. so i want to give a breakdown of what's happened and what i've seen.

i had to leave for a few days to avoid the harassment. people threatened me with acts of violence, threatened my kids and my pets, people were spamming qrts with images of self-harm hidden in fancams. they called me slurs or demanded to see my tribal enrollment. even someone here on tumblr said they believed people were probably faking being indigenous. there was a ton of 'oh so now dream stans care about racism'. because they see us as dream 'stans' first and foremost. this has been a long running issue for poc in the fandom.

people have been doxxed and at least one person got the police involved because someone showed up to their house. this was one of the admins of the usmp update account, an account that was hacked and whose admins have been endlessly harassed and threatened.

i have never seen this level of harassment before and this fandom once drove me to be hospitalized.

it's bad. and it's real. the fact that people are saying things like it's fake or 'dream stans always have to be the victim' is just awful. people on here have made jokes about the very real threats of violence, doxxing, and rape threats that are being directed not just at dream and his family, including his minor sister, but his fans as well. people are being harassed and threatened with the most vile shit. there are legitimate threats. people are scared. it isn't okay.

there's no doubt that people on both sides have been cruel. none of that is okay. i've seen stuff that i absolutely do not approve of. it's never okay to harass people. point blank. there's no 'but' to that.

right now, the fact is that people are being harassed and badly. whatever you may feel about dream and his fans, these things are real and unacceptable.
