If you ask me, I think humans still exist somewhere in the md universe, and JcJenson to an extent. Earth may be gone, but there must be some other inhabited planets that Cyn hasn't gotten to yet. After all, humans seem to be advanced enough to branch out that far.
Hear me out, though. Instead of treating the disassembly drone issue with appropriate urgency or concern, what if the heads of JcJenson instead only view it through the lens of an out of touch corporate executive. That is to say, disassembly drones are company property that was modified without authorization.
In a way, they're almost like bootlegs or counterfeits, and with how many of these drones are likely out there, that's a mountain of company violations on Cyn's hands.
So because JcJenson is still run by delusional tycoons, they create a pseudo-white label and patent the entire concept of disassembly drones, and maybe even the solver itself. They made the drones, they may just feel some kind of entitlement to whatever byproduct was illegitimately created from their own creations, and that entitlement may just outweigh any fear held towards the solver itself.
Basically, N and V are now walking copyright infringements, and JcJenson is after them. Not for the safety of humanity, but for the sanctity of company image.
Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.
