Do it gently.

Search for a little empathy at the bottom of your heart and do it slowly.

Take small steps everyday until you are way too far away from me to not even think of trying to hold you in my arms again,

Write down the reasons why you’re leaving and read them to yourself out loud until your words replace the reasons why you once considered staying.

Remember it won’t be an instant.

It will happen every morning when you wake up wondering how I might be doing and every night when you fall asleep missing my warmth.
