        she  understands  the  sentiment  ,  has  been  in  similar  predicaments  many  times  before.  just  doing  what  she  has  to  do  to  get  what  she  wants.  to  survive.     [     which  isn’t  always  as  simple  as  it  seems.     ]     but  maybe  this  one  time  she  should  have  stayed  out  of  it  ,  shouldn’t  have  interfered  &.  gotten  herself  too  involved  in  matters  that  don’t  concern  her.  that  has  never  stopped  her  before  ,  though  ,  so  of  course  it  won’t  stop  her  now  ―  even  if  she  already  knew  beforehand  that  amber  &.  her  wouldn’t  agree  on  the  matter  at  hand.     ❛     you  can’t.  not  with  this  ;  your  brother  wouldn’t  want  you  to  do  this.     ❜     bringing  up  alex  may  not  be  her  best  idea  ,  but  it’s  too  late  to  take  it  back  now.  besides  ,  a  small  part  of  her  hopes  this  argument  will  actually  work.

a   plane   crash   had   been   the   farthest   thing   from   arizona’s   mind.   she   never   foresaw   it   when   she   pictured  her   life.   how   could   she?   a   wife,   a   child,   two   legs...    well,   it   seemed   that   wasn’t   in   the   cards   anymore.   the   universe   just   didn’t   reward    good   people  -----    or   at    least,   that’s   how   the   blonde   currently   felt.   it   didn’t   help   that   one   of   the   only   people   she’d   vent   to   about   this,   she   couldn’t   even   look   at.   it   was   his   fault.   it   was   alex’s   fault   she   was   on   that   plane,   his   fault   she’d   heard   meredith   screaming   and   seen   lexie   die   and   derek   almost  ....    god,   the   whole   thing   was   unfathomable   and   she   never   should’ve   been   there.  

and   then,   if   that   weren’t   enough?   she   was   now   forced   to   sit   around   in   the   hospital,   recovering   and   having   people   she   didn’t   want   to   see   walk   in   on   her   at   any   point....    much   like   alex’s   younger   sister,   amber.   the   young   doctor   was   much   like   her   brother   and   the   two   of   them   had   formed   somewhat   of   a   friendship...   if   you   could   really  call   it   that.   arizona   had.   now?   she   wanted   nothing   to   do   with   her.    she   didn’t   doubt   that   alex   had   sent  her   to   do   damage   control.   what   a   coward,   she   thought.   he   couldn’t   even   do   it   himself.    ‘   what   are  you  doing   here?   ‘   and   her   tone   dripped   with   bitterness   for   the   younger   karev.
