I actually haven’t caught up with mdwym since clarke got her voice back i am so excited to see how that changes the writing i wonder if there’s still a lot of clarke’s inner voice cause that was such a cool part that came with most of it (the complexity and exposition kl gives to clarke is so fun) i would like to know if clarke’s voice is everything lexa dreamed of. not prepared for the angst but going to dive in. thankfully @bettahavemahhoneh messaged me about the update cause i missed that ao3 notif. can you believe how blessed we are with updates!!!

I think my love for anything that @entirelytookeen writes is pretty known by now. MDWYM is not an exception. So yet again - my try to give this fantastic piece a bit of a visual, an invitation to this au world that still does justice to both of their characters in an unusual set of circumstances with couple of reversed twists of what and how to whom. @entirelytookeen is exploring their world in a way the real show never even tried to, and doing that thing with words that makes it so heartwarming (aka writing wizardry). As you continue to talk about me with your supporters, haha.... Well, you almost certainly misunderstood me a lot with the “apology” post of mine. You don’t accept it, that’s ok. You don’t want to reconcile, that’s fine too. I’ve no problem. I guess admitting that I infringed your copyright and I was wrong is not enough, taking down my youtube vids is not enough, and I thought I did say “I apologize for bla bla”, but that is still not enough. Hahaha, I guess because I didn’t bend the knee and say “your grace, I beg your forgiveness”, hahaha, sorry, I’m rewatching GOT these days. 

You said I would get myself into trouble one day with my attitude. Come on, you know I won’t. I won’t in my real work world, of course, and within fandoms, you know that next time I want to podfic, I will ask for permission. Well, I lied there, I won’t ask for permission. I will instead avoid authors like you and look for fanfics whose authors give blanket permissions or real world works listed in the public domain. See, I told you I’ve learned, and I’m always open to learning new things, even the strangest kind of things. So, don’t worry, I won’t get into trouble.

Well, you said you want to turn the page over, I wanted to too. So we’ll just go on and live our separate lives, right? You will continue writing your fanfics, knowing that I will be there enjoying it when your chapter 19 comes out. And I will continue working hard at work trying to make people’s lives better, and yeah, that includes you, and I’m totally ok with that.

Occasionally, I will come back to this blog and talk about my very unpopular opinion on how hypocritical it is to be asking for permissions from your fans while some of you didn’t ask for permission from the rightful copyright owners and original authors and didn’t even acknowledge them anywhere in your work when you used their ideas. No side note, no P.S., no anything. I bet some of the fanfic authors may not even know the names of the original authors/creators. Nothing personal, just an observation, and this does not refer to all the fanfic writers, only to those who didn’t do the above mentioned things. These original authors, regardless of their attitudes toward fanfics, have without exception called the characters they created and settings of the original story their intellectual property. And yeah, my supporters fed me these ideas, and I agree. Don’t take me wrong, I’m not using this as excuse for myself, I have already admitted I’ve done wrong. I guess it is really a general thing to think about, it can be anything: not just fanfic, anything in life really, that before you accuse someone of doing something, maybe first reflect if you have done the same thing and haven’t even admitted yourself. 

And I applause those authors who give blanket permission. Again, not saying everyone should do so. If you do, I applause, if you don’t, I don’t applause. I now simply accept the fact that both types of authors exist. I may not agree, but I don’t call names. Just saying.

OK, lunch break is over, time to get back to work.
