Despite being my favorite animals, tigers have given me difficulty when drawing because of their facial structure being unique in contrast to common cats and other big cats. Their fur is longer on certain areas and much of their structure relies on the placement of the stripes and the fur around their face and ears, unlike leopards and lions which have an easier structure to draw with linework due to the short fur. I want to stem away from the familiar habit of relying on colors and markings to differentiate similar species. Here are some messy practice drawings!
