idk what it is about court days that make me positively insane. i’m stressed i’m my most productive i’m inexplicably overcome by grief

#it’s been an overwhelming day I think #I also keep thinking about delaney and how I should be there but my god. i’m so tired. we’re all so tired. this is exhausting and every day #is something worse. people say it’s a marathon not a sprint but man. this fucking marathon is excruciating #there was a little kid in court today. maybe…9 maybe 10 #all alone in a little suit jacket just him and his attorney #he traveled…fuck. 2 hours? to come to court today bc today was a juvenile docket day #that means at some point he crossed the border all on his own #I know it’s very selfish of me to focus on me showing up to court and stuff but i’m me talking into the void. but like. today in court none #of the kids talked. we all waived interpretation and handled things bc it’s faster and easier and less likely to piss of the judge #bizarrely I think that’s one thing the other (still shitty!) judge had up on this judge. at least she talks to the kids #she’ll order them deported just the same and she’s very clear she thinks they’re full adults the moment they turn 18 #but she at least…addressed them #idk it’s been a day. i’m sad. i’m angry. I don’t know how we’re going to survive more years of this and this is the easier docket!#work tag
