Jumping on the MDZS sectsona bandwagon! Lan XingFu Switches between wearing the male and female sect uniforms. Is often confused as a girl even when wearing the male uniform. Because of this there are many rumors that he is a cut sleeve. He has neither confirmed nor denied this to anyone bold enough to ask. Is younger than Lan Wangji but older than the current juniors. Around Mo Xuanyu’s age. Used to have a childhood crush on Wei WuXian when WWX was a guest cultivator at Gusu. When sneaking looks at Wei WuXian he often felt an icy glare being directed at him but never saw anyone around. Is quite the artist and poet but can’t play an instrument for crap. Was once chased out of the hall by Lan Qiren after trying to play the guqin. Often wants to join other sects just because of their uniforms. Loves cats but they don’t often share this sentiment with him. Has really high spiritual powers but constantly waves them off as just good luck. Somehow became friends with Nie HuaiSang and believes him to be a lot more competent than most give him credit for. HuaiSang constantly tries to push erotic books on XingFu that he doesn’t want. Constantly gets called in front of Lan Qiren for “promiscuous behaviors” and is always confused because he has never done any such thing but has nothing to prove his innocence either. He realizes it is mostly because of the rumors around him but he accepts his lectures with grace anyway. When confronted with flirtatious or actual promiscuous behaviors from others he goes quiet and has a tendency to grab and pet at the ends of his forehead ribbon as if they were a security blanket. Is very sensitive to hot and cold temperatures and often faints in the summer months. Has zero physical stamina. When he heard about a cultivator at the Jin Sect who was a cut sleeve he became very curious and wanted to meet with him and ask if the rumors were true or not but he was much too shy to go meet him. When later hearing about Mo XuanYu going crazy he got very depressed but still couldn’t bring himself to go help him since he was a stranger to him. During the Sunshot Campaign he disagreed with the others about fighting and didn’t want to harm living beings. He believed only the leaders should be punished and that many in the Wen Sect were likely innocent. However, he couldn’t voice such thoughts as he would be labeled a traitor. So he tended to disappear a lot during this time. No one seemed to much notice his disappearances either as he was always good at disappearing into crowds. He’d stay away in the background and fight his urge to aid the injured on both sides of the conflict. How he even stayed alive during the bloody battles is still a mystery but he didn’t come away completely unscathed – he has a large scar across his chest and torso from a surprise attack; he barely managed to escape death but he still finds it hard to blame anyone. He felt similarly about the siege on Burial Mound because of his memories of watching Wei WuXian when he was younger and also tended to disappear during this time. He loves to watch the junior Lan disciples and wishes he had more confidence so he could talk to them more often. The juniors have always heard he had strong spiritual powers but that he was also completely eccentric and they’ve never actually saw him use his powers and so really don’t know what to think of him. He’s just kind of that strange senior who floats about here and there. He REALLY wants to make friends with Sizhui and Jingyi but is both shy and awkward because he knows he’s older than them. He sometimes wishes he was younger so he could’ve been their friend in earnest. He may or may not have a slight crush on his friend HuaiSang. But upon seeing Wei WuXian again in Mo XuanYu’s body, he falls head over heels again. He is completely oblivious to Lan Wangji’s feelings for Wei WuXian though. But once he realizes it, he decides to give up on Wei WuXian as he seems so happy being with Lan Wangji. Plus, XingFu lacks confidence in himself in the romance department. Afterwards he decides he might just try confessing to HuaiSang cause… why not?
