The Dax's hosts:

Whorfin Dax

In the order of hosts, as presented in the episode 4 of the third season, Whorfin Dax might have been the first host as said by record accessed through the Trill central database. However, later Lela Dax was retconned as the first host.

Lela Dax:

Occupation: Legislator, field docent to a Trill initiate, and one of the first woman to be appointed as a council member

Affiliation: Trillian Government

Born: 2112; Died: 2226

Children: Ajhess (son)

Characteristics: walking with her hands behind her back

Tobin Dax

Occupation: Engineer, known for his intimate knowledge of phase coil inverters.

Children: numerous, only one being name is Raifi

Characteristics: vegetarian, liked to bite his nails

Emony Dax:

Occupation: Olympic gymnast. In the 2240s, Emony was once on Earth to judge a gymnastics competition at the University of Mississippi, where she met Leonard McCoy

Died: 23rd century

Children: more than one, none named

Characteristics: liked standing on her head to relax

Audrid Dax:

Occupation: Head of the Trill Symbiosis Commission

Affiliation: Trillian Government

Died: 2284

Children: Neema (daughter) and Gran (son)

Characteristics: Audrid liked to walk in wooded areas due to their "shady glens, cool breezes, cold streams..."

Torias Dax

Occupation: Pilot

Died: 2285

Spouse: Nilani Kahn

Characteristics: Torias had something of a carefree attitude about life, indulging in simple pleasure, and he indulged a bit much on fattening food, as a treat.

Joran Dax:

Occupation: Musician

Died: 2286

Curzon Dax:

Occupation: Trill Symbiosis Commission field docent; formerly a Federation ambassador in Q'nos

Affiliation: Trillian Government; Federation Starfleet; Klingon Government

Born: Before 2267; Died: 2367, Risa

Characteristics: Was always in way too much trouble with Klingons (in the side of the Klingons). Kind of a mentor for Benjamin Sisko.

Jadzia Dax

Occupation: Science Officer in Deep Space 9

Rank: Lieutenant Commander (Third in command)

Affiliation: Federation Starfleet; House of Martok; House of Rozhenko

Spouse: Worf

Children: Alexander Rozhenko (stepson)

Born: 2341; Died: 2374

Verad Dax

Occupation: Communication Clerk

Active: (2370)

History: He decided to steal the Dax symbiont from Jadzia Dax and escape into the Gamma Quadrant. Eventually, the Dax symbiont was returned to Jadzia.

Ezri Dax

Occupation: Counselor

Affiliation: Federation Starfleet

Rank: Lieutenant junior grade

So the federation itself is not militarized, the Starfleet is!

They just like a tiny bit more science than any other army + are exceptionally good propaganda because a lot of people go there saying "I'm not a soldier I'm a scientist/explorator!"

I watch this like: "you're called 'ensign', you have an entire section called 'security' who just want shoot something, and a captain who's bossed around by an admiral, what are you talking about!?"

After Defiant class creation, you have at least three warships walking around too – São Paulo being the Sisko's, one as a "training ship" for the Red Squad, and a lot more appearing in games(see Apocrypha).

And thinking about it, Starfleet was just waiting for an excuse to fabricate warships since Wolf 359. In ds9 they even tried to overthrow the Earth's government/the federation nerve.

I don't know what Section 31 was doing at this time but they were falling, either if they wanted to command the federation or prevent someone from doing it.

Anyway, Picard may have been mediocre but it was right in calling out the federation/fleet.

And I had a point in the beginning and another completely different in the end huh
