finally decided to finish painting something for once
anyways this is ava gilani!!! she’s an alliance operative who shows up late in rise & reign and tbh i cant wait to get to the arc she shows up in. it’s a fun arc, lots of classic action movie nostalgia featuring a cerberus defector and his mysterious spectre stalker ;)
felt like doing a timeline of jai shepard from me1 to me3.

they’re mixed mexican american and take more after hannah with their skin tone, freckles, and stature, and more their father with their hair and eye colors.
they have odd eyes, with one being blue and the other teal/green. ofc, most people don’t notice bc you have to get like. REALLY close to them to even see it.
the scarring came from akuze, where they wound up taking a couple of droplets of maw saliva to the face and nearly wound up losing an eye from it. they didn’t mind too much, seeing as they’re basically blind as balls anyway lmao
their vision sucks balls (extreme nearsightedness) to the point where they have a specialized sniper scope that switches magnification like the lenses in an optometrist’s office so they don’t have to fuck with eye surgery or anything. they’re also mostly deaf and get by with a hearing aid, which they use for such humorous exploits as turning it off mid-rant from udina so they don’t have to listen to his bullshit anymore.

cerberus “did them a favor” by lightening their skin and removing some of their freckles, along with other cosmetic changes to make their body more “womanly”, which they did not appreciate. they wound up bitching timmy out for an hour and a half for daring to make them look more like their asshole half-brother jason than their awesome mom that they don’t want to strangle. plus they were pissed abt the whole whitewashing thing and the fact that it was permanent.
miranda thought jai would appreciate having longer hair. they did not. cue impromptu haircut at late o’clock after jai realized they had long hair and had a fuckin panic attack.
eye color switched from blue-teal combo to seafoam green, and cerberus repaired their vision, much to their chagrin

the lazarus project scars healed. jai was a little upset bc they did look pretty bitchin’, but at the same time it was nice not having to constantly avoid itching them and reopening the wounds.
"I DON’T HAVE TO FOLLOW REGS ANYMORE HELL YEAH HELL YEAH” aka jai decided to grow their hair out bc why the fuck not the alliance can’t make them cut it anymore
before kicking timmy to the curb, jai requested surgery to switch their eye color back to something approximating their original color combo, as well as to give back their more androgynous figure, all at cerberus’s expense. miranda obliged after a little huffing and pouting. unfortunately, the skin was permanent.
