God, I cannot get enough of Brian Aubert's voice. He could sing the text of my Public Relations textbook and I would vote up every track he put on the Silversun Pickups' new album that consisted of it...and openly support Pitchfork's decision to give it a 8.5 out of 10. This song is something to be blasted from your record player at your house on October 19 at 8:30 PM.

Do any of y’all have any strange thing you do to prevent evil spirits from entering certain areas of your house??  Like, there’s nothing that even slightly claims that it works but you’ve just decided? For me, I throw my dirty clothes at the door(Especially panties) and make sure there’s always dirty clothes in my room.  Some people will probably just say I’m a lazy mofo which, I mean, you’re not wrong, but in this case, you are wrong.

Mean Spirits || Thranduil & Sherrinford

His journey through Mirkwood was (thankfully) relatively uneventful. The woods had been quiet of late and he was allowed to enter the great elven halls without much fuss. He made his way through the winding halls until he found Hatholdaer, the master blacksmith of Mirkwood.

He spent several hours discussing smithing techniques and befriending the elf. As they talked Sherrinford asked him many questions and attempted to learn as much as he could.

Silversun Pickups - Mean Spirits

this song is off of their album Neck of the Woods, which was released in 2012.  this album is a spin off of the 90s with the grungy sound of the bass making its way into each of the tracks.  silversun pickups is known for their dream-like sound so their personal twist is interesting to hear as we all know that grunge is one of the rawest sides to rock and roll.

This album just keeps growing on me. Compared to their previous album Swoon, this one was a total miss. This song is epic. Makes me wanna do some weird shoegaze guitarist dance. I love the main line that the bass starts off with and the guitar ends up doubling with. The build up of parts for each instrument as the song progresses definitely adds to the energy and complexity of the song. Last but not least, deep but somewhat sad lyrics:
