Earthquaaaaaaaake
Yes, there was an earthquake today with the magnitude of 6.9. What I'm about to talk about is my experience during the earthquake.
During the earthquake, it was PE class. We were practicing a folk dance and then suddenly, the floor started to shake. At first, I thought that people were just jumping or running, but I didn't actually here any loud foot steps. When I saw my classmates panic and stuff, I went to the post and hugged it right away since I remember our 2nd grade lesson about what you do when there's an earthquake. Then, I saw people going under chairs and tables, so I went to my chair and fixed my things since I bring my morning things down to give to my driver while the afternoon things are in my bag. When I suddenly saw the Student Council Moderator saying "GO OUT!" while running towards the stairs, everybody started running. I was very calm because I thought that it was a fire drill since they warned us last year that there would be a fire drill (it actually never happened, so I assumed that it was it). Because I thought it was a fire drill, I asked myself if I should bring my things down because they were perfectly ready to be brought down and maybe I could be able to go back up after what may happen. In my head, I said to myself, "After all, it's just a fire drill. I could just get back up." So, I just left them there. When we were down stairs, in the field, I asked the teachers what just happened and if it really was an earthquake, and they nodded. So, I got sooooooooo sad because I couldn't study if I couldn't get my stuff. You may tell me that I'm overreacting about this, but people tell me that I study too much, and that's sort of true, but I never changed that. Learning is my daily exercise. WHAT. =)) Moving on... Yeah, so I went outside for lunch together with Evonne and Patrice feeling really sad. After I ate lunch, we went back inside to check on what was going on, they said that we could go up and get our stuff by 5 with a teacher accompanying us, so we got a teacher and we got our stuff. I went home feeling happy despite the earthquake! I didn't feel much of the earthquake though since I stayed calm. And I did not feel any aftershock during that time.
When I got home, I noticed my destroyed cabinet fell on the tables and chairs in my room. It was the first time it fell on the tables and chairs, but it wasn't the first time falling. It almost fell on me once, but I quickly stopped it, though. I told my dad about it again (yes, I have told him a lot of times before), and he said that he has told someone to fix it already.
My brother was absent/excused from classes because of debate. What happened to him was that he was just in the living room using the internet. Usually, when a truck passes by our house, our house would shake, so we're kind of used to it already, so Johann didn't mind - until he saw our dining table shake. He ran straight outside together with our cousins in the compound. He also heard a big 'bang' from up stairs due to my cabinet. >:)
Yup, so that's it. If you read until here, thank you so much! :) Please pray for all of us, as I will always and also pray for everyone's safety.
P.S. Yes, this may be the first earthquake I have experienced, but no, I do not believe in the end of the world this December 2012 for God only knows what will happen.
