Flames

When I started this A4 acrylic piece, it was a test of how well I can draw by now without references, but I really can't remember how I came up with the foolish idea of this particular perspective. I think this is probably one of the hardest possible foreshortenings, right up the nose. When I was done, my vision wasn't quite fulfilled - it was all just dark red - so I added the strands with an acrylic marker. That was nice but still lacking; so I taped off triangles, redrew the strands with a white marker that would colour well, and flooded them with inks in yellow and blue. Now it's more interesting. "Flames", A4, acrylics and ink on Yupo paper.
