I tattooed the Pictish beast on my hand today and it looks decent for a stick n poke. I'm happy to have it. I did it myself because I wanted it to look like a tattoo a Pictish warrior would have. I'm trying to reconnect with my culture and one way I do that is with Celtic tattoos and Celtic rituals and whatever traditions have survived. my family are Travellers who were pretty ashamed of their ethnicity so a lot of family history is lost (not just because they were ashamed, also because Travellers are oppressed and they had to live off the grid) but despite being the 4th gen in America I want to embrace my heritage and this a first step towards that 💚 I'm stoked on this tattoo.
