#WoeIsMe - "Our Number[s]" Feat. #JonnyCraig
I chose this song because it was the one that grabbed my attention the most the first time I listened through. The soulful singing, instrumental clashing, and metalcore energy had me tranced.
so. I'm a bit lost for words. Um. When I first heard Woe, Is Me it was their cover of tik tok (Listen Here) I loved it. I thought they did an amazing job incorporating all different grenres and sound into it, and I was amped about hearing their own sound. They have SUCH amazing technical breakdowns. Instrumentals are on point. Distortion and double base mesh perfect. They really know how to compose, sound edgy..and remain unique. I honestly heard parts in some of their songs that gave me goosebumps from the harmonization of all the instruments and screams. The lead singer sounds a bit like Jonny Craig, which is why I find it ironic Jonny features in this song and I honestly can not tell them apart. Jonny is the lead singer of Emarosa and Dance Gavin Dance.
Woe, Is Me formed, signed with Rise Records, released a debut album Number[s] (which is where this song is from), released a music video, and went on both a US and Canadian tour...ALL in 2010. Impressive. Rising stars for sure. I'm excited to see what they have to offer to their genre and this industry.
