Indulge in the flavors of Italian cuisine with this delicious Ricotta Meatball Sandwich. Juicy meatballs made with a blend of beef and pork, mixed with creamy ricotta cheese, and served on a toasted bun with marinara sauce and melted mozzarella. It's a mouthwatering treat!
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 1/2 lb ground pork. 1/2 cup ricotta cheese. 1/4 cup breadcrumbs. 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese. 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley. 1/4 cup finely chopped onion. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 egg. Salt and pepper to taste. 4 hamburger buns. 1 cup marinara sauce. 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese. Fresh basil leaves for garnish.
Instructions: Put ground beef, ground pork, ricotta cheese, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped fresh parsley, chopped onion, minced garlic, and an egg in a large bowl. Mix everything together well. For the right amount of salt and pepper, season the meat mix. Make meatballs out of the mixture that are about 1.5 inches across. Warm up a pan or grill on the stove over medium-high heat. Take the meatballs and grill or fry them in a pan until they are fully cooked and have a nice crust on the outside. This should take about 4 to 5 minutes per side. For a quick and easy meal, split the hamburger buns in half and toast them on the grill or in a toaster in the meantime. Turn on the marinara sauce in a separate saucepan and heat it until it's hot. Add a few meatballs to the bottom half of each toasted bun before putting the sandwiches together. Put marinara sauce on top of the meatballs, and then sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top of that. To make a sandwich, put the top half of the bun on top of the meatballs and cheese. Add some fresh basil leaves as a garnish. You can enjoy your Ricotta Meatball Sandwich while it's still hot.
