Indeed, running into Trotters again was something that Zora didn't seem to mind happening in the least. Did they have a specific reason for that? They weren't quite sure as of yet, but they didn't mind talking to him either.

So might as well keep doing so when they had an opportunity to do so.

"I suppose that makes sense. When people use stories, use fear to really try and understand what remains unknowable or inexplicable to them..to them. I understand the purpose. It's just often a real shame when that fear gets taken out on people they deem different for reasons that has nothing to do with how the person is living their life. But is a projection.."

That sense of projection, Z has never been a fan of and it's been something that has been weighing on them heavily given what they had been observing.

Lilli just went into the convenience store to get some cigarettes and perhaps some snacks... and maybe an energy drink or a coffee. What she hasn't expected was to see... well, this... Even though she doesn't know what this was. Not human for sure. And between the cashier, the young employee and her, he really did look out of place. And perhaps she should mind her business, but her curiosity got the better of her... Like always.

" Yeah. Just a little zhough! And no one else here seems to mind... I don't mind either, I am simply curious. "

When the mage was looked up and down, she did the same to Trotters. Even though she had already done that before approaching him. And a small smile appeared on her face upon seeing him put yet another noodle cup into the basket. Heh, someone liked those apparently. Could be her.

Rex was laying on the sidewalk, inching along up to hang onto a fire hydrant or something. Rubbing at his eyes. Whatever he'd been drinking and generally absorbing throughout the night. It had thrown him into a stupor the likes of which he only dreamed of experiencing.

"No recollection..."

The cosmic contender seemed to nod off, slumping as if to sleep before regaining wakefulness at interval-bursts. Before a light smattering of sobbing sounds. Fretting, but not shedding tears. It was like his body knew, even if his mind momentarily did not, that his concern at hand was trivial at best.

"I wanna know. I wanna know... hoooh-huu-hoooh..."

He ran his hands over the hydrant gently. Even in a state comparable to being inebriated, he wasn't just throwing his weight around.

"I don't mean to pry, but what exactly is it you do?" [ from @meatoticindex ]

"Oh.. like for a living? I'm an artist by trade. I work on some graphic design projects.. but I also do illustrations and all kinds of unique .. art works based on commissions and other individual projects.

I have been doing some .. more like technical research influenced work just to be able to keep things going because some people think programming will be able to replace creative work at large and are trying to force it down everyone.

so i have to be.. more particular in terms of who I work with and what I work on while still expanding my skillset to be useful to people these days."

It was honestly, a lot of work - which is why they did appreciate the kind of workshops and classes that they did occasionally do to remind themself that people did still want to make things for themself now and then.

Rex felt bad for Trotters. Even though they were gonna hit each other with cars or something a minute ago.
