I’ve been working on Mechataur again, over on twitter I left the part with the one leg idea cropped out, but here I think its fine enough. Still not completely sure how decayed I want him to be, but I do want it to seem like the ‘skin’that covered its chassis while the park was still operational has been rotting off of it over time.
Also not sure if I want to go with a rusty look or if I want more oily grime in there, since that seems to be common on older machinery.
So far I’m pretty happy with the face, so I’ll keep that the way it is.
Tell me I'm not the only one who noticed this...
Ok yes I know, I'm slow, but I'm catching up.
In the Elementalists I saw a familiar face and did a double take..
I've seen this Mechataur before!
In The Crown and the Flame!
.....
Since apparently magic er Magick is real... I wonder if Whitlock built this one too for Pendergast?

I’ve been meaning to redesign Mechataur a bit for a side project. For now I’m working from the head down, figuring out how he should work and move around.
He is supposed to have been an advanced animatronic for his time at one point before he fell into disrepair. So far I’m sort of liking the head on the second drawing I made of him when I was figuring how his middle should look.
As always hydraulic pistons are a staple in my robot designs.
Been messing with more stuff with Mechataur lately, inking out some ideas for legs and how the hydraulics would fit together on them. Oddly the back view had been the most challenging to get done.
I decided to mess with inking up a robotic character and I had also been playing around with CoX:Homecoming as of late, so here’s one of my villain characters in the game, his name is Mechataur.
Mostly the guy is a villain by the way of neglect/lack of maintenance made his programming go haywire and now he runs around punching things.
Some additional doodles of Mechataur I had been working on to mess with mecha things some more. Murderous robotic entities are fun to draw and mess with as a subject.
