Invisigal, shuffling: "Oh, well, I like eclairs."
Robert, chuckling: "Isn't that a dick donut? You like big long cream filled dick donuts."
Invisigal, touched that he remembered: "I didn’t think you’d remember that, have you been holding that joke in since that first fight with Thunderstruck?"
Robert: "I may have been waiting for an opportunity to get one in on you, yes."
Invisigal, all but purring: "Why wait? First a date to the movies, now a coffee shop. You’re gonna have to buy me dinner."

Just a few lines I pulled from a fanfic I recently published for Dispatch, and a gif of Robert's spittake I wanted to make. Figured I'd share it here. I've enjoyed the game so much. I love the dynamic between Robert and Invisigal, a lot of depth and teasing and character growth, can't go wrong with that.
Invisigal's first little adventure at Granny's really drew me into the character, and that 'date' to the movies was adorable and is my favorite scene in the game. Invisigal asking what Robert's favorite donut was, and teasing him about what that suggested about him, had me wondering what the other character's favorite donuts might be, and what that might tease about their characters. So that led to me writing this fic here.
Summary -
Robert Robertson mulls over his new job now that he's settled into the routine and the Z-Team have managed to become a little less like villains and a little more like the heroes they were striving to be. They've been working hard, haven't they? He should do something for them. Granny's is reopening, maybe a trip for coffee and donuts would be just the thing.
I'm gonna say rated Teen, for the (mildly) suggestive themes.

It's all fluff, some friendship/team building/found family stuff, with a nice big teasing of romance between Robert Robertson and Invisigal.
