Oh hell nah, not me crying over Tessa and Scott for the millionth time at 1 am.
So yes, I did pretty okay at this year's first tournament of the Wessex League.
Lost to Pedro (guy in the centre in the third picture) by being (and I quote) "too chivalrous" and acknowledging his parried-thrusts-made-cuts when the judges missed it. I'm disappointed that I didn't win gold, but I lost largely on my own terms, fought with a lot of good friends, and was given credit for my honesty. Not to mention Pedro apparently claimed I had out-fenced him, which is a huge compliment from the victor!
So, Knight won silver this weekend at the longsword competition, and spend the rest of the weekend judging rapier & dagger, saber, and sword & buckler. Not a bad weekend. :)
