The group was stunned. Dolraan could hear the murmurs, the disbelief. He shared their feelings. Confusion, betrayal, despair. His mind raced with questions, and he wanted nothing better than to wail, to shout and rage and cry.

But this was not the time.

“Meddlers, I need this square locked down, -now-” he shouted, glaring down protests borne of confusion and emotional turmoil. “Rogues clear the alleys, plate wearers secure the roads, ranged on the rooftops. Mages, warlocks, get over there and go over that spot with a fine-toothed comb. We’ll buy you the time you need. Thalyssra, take your people back to the forward camp. We’ll rejoin you soon.”

The group started to move, still unsure but thankfully granting him their trust. His face softened. “We don’t know what’s going on here, friends. But we’re going to find out. And I swear to you, with the Light as my witness...” he declared, Truthguard’s draenic crystals glowing in the gloom of the city,

“We are going to save her.”

Meddlegoons in general.

I’ve blogged this before but it’s still one of my favorite Tributes to Mass Effect. And the characters in Mass Effect are still the epitome of Meddlegoons imo. Because you have such a variety of backstories and histories, from people that have been soldiers for a long time. To scientists, engineers, that add their own expertise and quirks. And those who were used from birth in an attempt to create the perfect soldier/weapon but learned more about themselves and start to heal from the abuse and neglect they suffered because of it.

Not on their own, but together with each other, supporting one another through the darkest of times.

At its core this video herbytree made just represents the power people have when they come together and form real bonds against adversity
