My one thought throughout reading Medea was:
Yes, Jason, you should absolutely leave your powerful sorceress wife, whose grandfather is Helios (whom favors her) and patron deity Hecate (whom Zeus honors), for a normal mortal princess. It's not like she's the biggest reason you accomplished your own heroic feat and demonstrated many times why she's so fucking terrifying. Or the fact that she can never go back home and made enemies in Greece since Day One, so the family you made together is all she has.
What could possibly go wrong--Oh, wait, that's right, everything I just said.
[Disclaimer: This isn't saying Jason should have stayed with Medea just for her powers. Cheating is cheating, and very, very wrong.
Edit: and while yes, his and Medea's marriage wasn't technically legitimate, it doesn't make it any better as he left her for social standing.]
