❕ Digital Divide in the New Normal $__$ 🖥️➗
As we are currently dealing with the new normal brought by the pandemic, the response in the digital divide hasn't had a big gap compared to those times where pandemic didn't exist yet because many individuals are already utilizing the internet or many individuals have the access to operate and use it before the pandemic. Just like those who are working as call centers, of course they are expected to use the broadband services for their work. But it is quite challenging for us because many individuals experienced the sudden transition, it requires adapting to this new mode of learning and the best example for this is the teachers and students who require to utilize broadband services to continue the education even if it's pandemic. Also those individuals who are away from their relatives, family and friends are the ones who use the internet services to continually have a relationship and connection with each other.
The digital divide has never been wider than today due to the pandemic, while we are still adjusting to the new normal, the gap between no technology and technology has widened more and we now communicate more in technology. And as a result many people who worked in places that don't need technology have suffered and earning income was harder for them when people nowadays use technology as their medium for shopping and buying food unlike before when we can personally shop in malls and markets. And since some people wasn’t very experienced with technology especially in education where teachers and students struggled with the internet connection and the use of digital gadgets online. With all of these sudden transitions of using technology it can be a struggle especially when the internet is very limited and even gadgets for some families with very low salary and they needed it for work or education.
Here are some pointers we should consider when we are shopping for a bath chair for ourselves or a loved one:
A bath chair is essential for the safety of anyone who is weak, unsteady or recovering from surgery.
The bath chair is available in padded or non-padded versions. Most all bath chairs are height adjustable.
Bath benches or bath chairs are available with arms or without arms.
Bath chairs can include a backrest or you can get a simple bath chair without a back.
Some bath chairs are designed to hold up to 250 pounds, while others can hold up to 500 pounds or more.
Bath chairs are designed to go in a shower stall or a bathtub with a shower head installed.
I like to suggest grab bars and hand held showers any time we are using a bath chair.
