do you have any like thoughts (can be specific or like general things about him) about boxten you wanna share.. i don't really know much about him I'm curious what his deal is. also if you have any of his interactions that you particularly like or think mean something you should show me. :3
OK !!!! i do have them but i’m not fully sentient right now so this might be straight bullshit
his character description for his info card is a pretty solid base to who he is and how it is for him at gardenview in the first place. he’s a very shy and nervous character, who cares deeply about what others think of him and if he’s being a good friend. his ability reflects this-he speeds up extraction based off the amount of players in a party+ his ability pretty much solely is useful in larger groups and is fairly unhelpful in solo runs/smaller parties. he’s very self conscious , and views himself only as useful if he’s helping others or making sure they’re doing ok despite his very own [slightly obvious] struggles.

these are just a handful of example from dialogue that show the way he interacts with the toons. he frequently compliments them and checks up on them, and lets them know that he appreciates them. smth smth his need/want for people to care about him and consider him a friend or someone they can trust by showing he also actually cares and emphasizes with them, and him viewing himself as not useful or a bad friend when he doesn’t pick up on a social cue or can’t do anything to comfort the friend more [ie flutter]
putting this one separate because my thoughtsssss. he overall has the same view [in the respect of his best isn’t good enough,] as dazzle, but lets them know that they’re doing great and enough….rotating him in the mind cube
these interactions show that people do notice when he is stressed/have taken note in some way that he Has Problems. don’t have more coherent thoughts just putting these here
this one doesn’t necessarily mean a lot of things un unless you try + it also spins when his twisted spots a player + I just like it a lot. I like that he can do that awwwe 🙂🌹
evidence . that he is a slight perfectionist and doesn’t view what he does as good enough , and him immediately moving on from the machine to the other one could also imply that he views it as not enough….
him in general overly worrying about everything. the fact that these are all his descending dialogues shows how much his anxiety is part of him and how hard it is for him to not worry or be stressed about anything even when he’s actively doing his best.
