Richard felt like he'd been at this half the day already. Redirecting officers heading through to the east offices - Irons had really lost it on a poor rookie cop, and he was prowling the hallway now, pacing and muttering to himself. Richard was warning anyone coming through, and recommending they take the second floor route through the east stairwell. He didn't want anyone else on the receiving end of the Chief's ill temper. If that got him in trouble, well - so be it.
He'd already had to redirect Rita twice. The second time she wasn't surprised, but she was disappointed to have to take the long way again. Still, better than getting chewed out, considering the Chief seemed to be lingering near the main hall. Technically speaking, Richard was SUPPOSED to be organizing things in the STARS office, Enrico had asked it of him directly. But he knew Enrico would approve of what he was doing. He'd explain later, and it'd be fine.
Well. Probably.
Once he heard the Chief leaving the hallway, Richard peeked in to verify he was gone - and began to hurry to the STARS office. He knew better than to keep Enrico waiting, and yet a distraction came all the same. He spotted Rebecca as he was on the way to the library, and waved to flag her down.
"Hey, Rebecca! Finding everything okay today?"
