Continuing on with exercises that we will be implementing more of we come to maximal effort med ball throws. These exercises are under appreciated and not utilized enough in my opinion for a few reasons: 1️⃣ like the intensive throws mentioned in a prior post, they’re very scaleable, the only limit there is the quantity of med balls you have. 2️⃣ they’re easily measurable. Did it go higher up the wall, or in the air, or further. 3️⃣ they’re easy to progress. Just bump up a ball or go down one when progress stalls. 4️⃣ there are easy ways to bring some variation to them as well. You can change the type of ball, throwing from a dead stop or loading into the throw (both shown), and sprint/run out for example. 5️⃣there’s just something about chucking a ball as hard and as far as you can that just sets the rest of the session up to be awesome. As I said before. I’m a big fan of these and look forward to seeing how they fit in our progression. Use throws like this? Would love to hear what you do, success you’ve had, or some limitations you came across. #StrengthCoach #StrengthAndConditioningCoach #medicineballthrows #SportsTraining #PhysicalPreparation #medballthrows #SportTraining #SportPerformance #HumanPerformance #StrengthTraining #SpeedTraining #Performance #medicineball #HighPerformance #Plyometrics (at Richmond, Virginia) https://www.instagram.com/p/B7_0xMbn7jk/?igshid=1iekdetatash4
