I don’t have videos of us when we were practising with armour sadly,but I’ve got one  of us with the Aketon :) (I’m the one with the red helmet,shield and sword, and white aketon)

Alrighty! I don’t really know where to start so just letting you know some stuff :)I joined because,well,it’s medieval,it’s got armour,weapons…it’s great…at first I was a bit scared like, I thought the teachers were going to be really strict and scary but they’re actually a funny bunch :)

_In tournaments,or when you are using an actual armour:    You can fight with the following weapons:      -Halberd( if you don’t want to have your enemy too close)      -Two handed sword      - Mace and shield      - Pike      -Short sword and shield (my preference)    _The rules are simple      - Do not hit the nape or the spine      -Do not hit behind the knees      -Once you’re on the floor or lose your weapon,you’re eliminated.      - You can use some martial arts,but you cannot stop holding your weapons          in the process. _ When we’re practising without armour,all of the above applies,but  it is mandaroty to wear a helmet,kneepads,shin pads,gloves and an Aketon(this one only for recruits really…the teacher or the most experienced ones don’t wear it) And the weapons are covered with tape,so they don’t chip or hurt. @static-box you asked me about this but I didn’t know how to add the video to the answer because I’m well dumb :v

Ok, so I was watching medieval fight videos, because they are really awesome, and this one I was like, “Come on, what’s your deal, you all are boring!” And then round two hit, and Poland just annihilated England (skip to about the 8 min mark). It was insane.

By the way, writers, these guys are going full boar, it isn’t any of that choreographed shit you see in movies. This is probably far more accurate, and it also isn’t that silly stuff we see some SCA people doing where they hide behind their shields and do a comedy routine trying to hit each other... (yeah, we’ve seen it)
