sixth piece in the series ive been posting about here.

i got the idea for this image from a tiny detail in a french medieval book of hours (that’s like a very illustrated prayer book someone wealthy would commission). long story short, i find the idea of the gap between the “folk religion” and the “official theological” conception of God, when it exists, to be extremely interesting. i thought this was a perfect manifestation of that: doctrinally, in most views, of course God is not literally an old man with a huge beard, but for some reason we on the ground level can’t help but imagine him that way.

not sure if anyone here is into NFTs, that’s how i was releasing these (on @opensea) - they all sold except the last one, so there’s one more left there that i’ll post tomorrow.
