thinking about modern! Dracula and Lisa who go all out for Halloween:
- Lisa loves the season of fall, but Halloween is by far her favorite holiday. Meaning she goes all out starting the first day of October: decorations all over their already Gothic-inspired home, spiderwebs, skeletons, those stupid, fake bats, dimmed lights, shockingly historically accurate candelabras.
- Dracula on the other hand, needs a bit more convincing. To him, the whole thing is a sham, a ploy for big businesses to make money. Which is true, but Lisa helps him loosen up a bit and just have fun. Being the very personification of the spirit, Dracula takes this very seriously. Costumes? He makes his and Lisa’s by hand and he does the make-up if she asks. One year they go as gender-bent Dr. Frankenstein and Frankenstein’s monster (can’t tell me Dracula wouldn’t have known Mary Shelley personally), another year as The Phantom of the opera and Christine (what can he say, I just know he’s a drama king at heart), and, often than not, he just straight up goes as Dracula, or more accurately, one of the many portrayals of him over the years. His favorite is probably Bela Lugosi’s version, the elegance really stands out to him. All the neighbors (the very few he has) praise the realistic fangs. Lisa doesn’t have the heart to tell them they’re not fake.
-Lisa isn’t an intensely public person, but every now and then she posts on Facebook or “that new-fangled app” Tiktok. I just know one post showing off her and Drac’s costumes would go unintentionally viral. Yep, the Tiktok girlies would eat up any post she makes to be honest. Lisa pretty quickly figures out the trends and asks Drac to do them with her( he folds pretty easily whenever she asks for anything, let’s be real). And the tiktok peeps eat that shit up too. Unsurprisingly, there’s an abundance of thirst comments for Vlad, to his confusion.
-All of the neighborhood kids get a kick out seeing their decorations, being scared shitless and fascinated at the same time. Not to mention on the actual day, they give out full size candy bars, a small reward for those who dare brave the Tepes, driveway.
