Not really good at making aus but here's a thing that's been nagging at my brain for someone else to maybe take a shot at idfk

What if subspace ran away instead of medkit?

Medkit stayed after the fight and eventually became the head of health and robotics in blackrock, a man who deeply hates the cruel system around him and tries with all he can to change it. A single man trying to fix a dystopia, call that savior complex. He's utterly depressed and cold to everyone, tired and worked to the bone by both blackrock and his own goals. Some days he looks worse than subspace.

Subspace ran from blackrock after the fight, shaken and deeply disgraced. I think he'd happily go into the Cult of the True Eye after some time alone, just plain happy to have family again. To have structure, someone above him to lead his actions like he's always known. To be the golden example of something. He can't fully go teal, his traps have to stay pink and I'd imagine his rot would also stay pink. But even despite that, he really is loyal. He doesn't believe in the cult's beliefs, he's never truly believed in any sort of god, but he'd never admit that now. He'd lose everything again and he can't afford that. He can't afford to become something of his own, he has to be lead by someone. He can't lose this.

I think it'd be an interesting way to study their characters
