Yo. Uhh call me Undertale AU anon because Undertale AUs are my expertise.
Ok so, you know the silvagunner April fool's prank this year? Where they made a bunch of things different AUs? Yeah I'm gonna do that to phighting but kinda seriously.
So let's start out with the starting point:
Phighting swap au! Or as I'll call it "CONPHLICT" (You see it's a synonym of fighting that also has an F sound to turn into a PH)
So, what are the swaps? Well, let's go through the list:
Slingshot <--> paintball gun
Ok so on that last swap, I did that because there are 15 Phighters, and so at least one character would be left without a partner to swap with, and that character ended up being slingshot. So, I'm swapping slingshot with an OC (not personal OC, like one made specifically for this AU). Now why paintball gun? Well, the paintball gun is the other ranged weapon in the basic brickbattler load out. Why didn't I use superball? Well the superball is more single fire and a bit too similar to slingshot in form of projectile, while the paintball gun fills the same "spam fire ranged weapon" role.
Anyways, new personalities!
Valk & Dom are the least effected by the swap, the only real change being that now Valk is the purple one with a missing eye and Dom is the yellow one. They don't switch heights tho Valk is still short.
Broker goes from shifty crypto bro to legitimate bakery owner.
Zuka goes from repair shop mechanic to scrapyard mad scientist
Scythe is now way more of a cowboy then before, being the sheriff of the banlands. Meanwhile Banhammer leans more into their tyrant side, treating them self like a king and getting angry at those who don't support his world view
Medkit is still standoffish, but now also a mad scientist. So he's more of a cold calculating type that does anything necessary to get results. Meanwhile subspace goes from over boasting scientist to skittish easily frightened and paranoid scientist. Also subspace does still get the crystal rot in this AU, but it's less super cancer and more asthma. He does also have the burns but they are purely chemical burns.
Biograft is now a singular Inphernal that works as a bouncer in Paintball guns diner, and Coil is now a mass produced robot made by Medkit.
Ok not a lot changes between these two in terms of personality. But now skateboard works as a music video producer and boombox is a freelance DJ, alongside them both working part time over at paintballs diner.
Katana is now a hired assassin who works for medkit. Unlike hyperlaser & subspace in canon, these 2 get along well enough. Both are serious and get to the point. Medkit sends katana out on a hit, and once the target is dead katana gets his money
Hyperlaser is now the one who has to put up with shuriken and vine staff. His personality doesn't change much, but his role does. After the faction war, hyperlaser moved to thieves den and gave up the whole faction politics thing, preferring to live his days in peace.
Well, vinestaff is now green and shuriken is now pink. That's the main change. Oh yeah and also it's vinestaff that's the superhero vigilante.
Rocket was never adopted by Zuka, and instead was adopted by Broker venomshank. Yeah. While rocket may not be a demi-god, he was still adopted by a god, so that counts for something I guess. He's still mostly the same as canon personality wise, venomshank having adopted him after he'd lived a few years out on the streets, but his dad's venomshank now.
Sword was adopted by Broker in this AU. Alongside this, Sword isn't a demi-god in this AU, he's just a normal inphernal. He's still mostly the same personality wise as in canon, if a bit less naive. He's still a kind and caring person at heart.
Paintball gun fills the role of slingshot, but acts very different. First: he runs a diner, not a cafe. second: he's mainly associated with playground, not thieves den. Third: his workers are skateboard and boombox, alongside having more staff then just those 2.
Where is slingshot in this AU? Idk for all I know he was shot dead as a newspawn. He just doesn't exist in this AU.
Anyways please do note I am not a superfan of phighting and haven't read all of the devs tweets or watched all the streams. I play the game casually and interact in the fandom on a small scale.
Honestly? For someone who isn't a superfan, you only made the slightest of mistakes (Sword isn't a demigod. He's just adopted by a god). So good job!/gen
