Another image from a hot humid morning in June last year on the Medomak River that began as a trout fishing excursion and ended up a stream walk. The water was low but cool, and the foliage was at peak green. I cannot wait for spring! “Medomak River Elver #1”, 7”x10”, mixed media on 140 lb Arches Hot Press paper. This guy’s a composite of some of the great characters and great outfits worn by the elvers who fish the River in front of my house. For sale up in my store, link in the bio. Fun to document the full process on this one - used a brown ink instead of black for a little softer feel and to play off the lavender greys.
