Going on with that ol’ splint universe or some shit in which Hao and Kia are friends.

Hao was always a bit…impartial to Vice. He doesn’t hate or like the guy, just acknowledges that he’s always there. He knows that the Douji harbors some level of affection towards Kia and that she returns it (even if neither party knows of the other). Outside of the entertainment he gets watching him fumble and excuse his behavior towards her, he doesn’t really have that much of an opinion of him.

Until Hao comes by one day. It’s been months since he’s managed to see the girls, has kind of been planning a fun event for the three when he did see them again.

But…it’s only Mizho now. She feels so hollow inside now, that very emptiness a sweet relief from the overwhelming grief she’s endured. She’s quieter, colder. There’s hardly a kind word from her mouth, even if it’s not intentional. Something’s happened and he knows it without having to be told.

Just as he knows who the culprit of it was.

For all the pompous arrogant brat he’s always been, as he still is to this day, Vice won’t look anyone in the eye. Sure it looks like he is, but he’ll choose to focus on someone’s hair or their nose or something, but never direct contact. The powers of his Noh could sometimes prevent Jealousy from his heart, but never his mind from Hao. Feelings of anger and self loathing, of an overwhelming sea of grief that threatens to drown him. Not a single word needs to be spoken to Hao.

Kia is gone now, and he knows the culprit for why.
