oh man do u mean for the au i already have? bc this ones a doozy and its motherfucking sad

meenah and aranea met at a senate meeting

meenahs mom is a big shot in the republic, and aranea was visiting bc she wanted a future in politics

meenah didnt really want any friends, but aranea was determined to get an in with someone with so many connections

somehow it became an actual friendship

(these things happen when youre the only 2 people under the age of 30 and youre confined to basically one location with nothing to do)

it was discovered that they were force sensitive, and the two went off to training together, really happy they got to stay together

they start dating when theyre around 15, and for a while everything was great

as corruption within the jedi order grew, so did aranea’s lust for power

meenah watched in horror as her best friend, partner, and love of her life grew to become wildly unstable and extremely manipulative

it was worst when aranea would do something terrible and then turn around and talk to meenah like everything was fine, meenah felt like her heart was being torn out

meenah couldnt turn her back on her girlfriend, but watching aranea turn into this monster was killing her

they both finally “graduated” into being full jedi knights and aranea blackmailed and bullied the order into promising her a spot on the council once one of the current members died

once an “accident” was arranged and carried out on a respected jedi master, meenah knew she needed to step in

she confronted aranea about her quickly slipping sanity

aranea basically guaranteed meenah a high power spot on the council if she kept her mouth shut

meenah agreed, hoping to be closer to aranea and able to keep an eye on her and rein her in if necessary

(remind her of the kids they used to be)

unfortunately, aranea was way past being able to be reined in by this point, even by the only person she cared about

things in the order only got worse, and meenah basically remembered why she was never supposed to let anyone in and kind of broke down

one night, while aranea was asleep, she grabbed her padawan (dirk) and they vanished from the temple

aranea woke up cold, alone, and confused, she searched the whole temple frantically for hours before barricading herself in her room and breaking down into tears

(after that, she became completely merciless. meenah didnt think she could reel aranea in, but she had more influence than either of them realized, once meenah leaves, aranea has no sympathy, no empathy, no heart, (meenah took it with her when she left))

meenah and dirk finish his training in hiding, and she sends him off on his own, becoming kind of a rogue jedi robin hood figure

she keeps an eye on the order, (on aranea) but she stays away as long as she can

shes already fought her war, shes already lost everything there was to lose, its not her fight anymore

(until one day it is, because aranea has always been her responsibility)

(she was supposed to be able to keep her in line)

(when did the tables turn? how did meenah miss it?)

(how can she strike the killing blow against her other half?)

(how can she live with herself if she succeeds? how will anyone survive if she fails?)

(how did it all get so twisted?)
