I am healthybtch! I'm twenty years old, I live in Canada and I am earning my bachelors of Physical Education in Health Promotion right now. I like documentaries, animals, taking pictures, travelling, hiking, water (as in drinking it, swimming in it, sailing on it, and taking pictures of it) and reading. I also enjoy school, and learning about nutrition. I abhor laziness, and anything I can do to get my body moving makes me happy. Someday I am going to run the Colour Run, the Spartan Race, and any/every zombie run I can do.I get really obsessed with things for a short period of time, and then get over them. Except health/fitness...that seems to be sticking :)
There are so many great sites on tumblr about fitness, weight loss, and health. What makes me different? Probably nothing. I want to look and feel sexy for me (and also my totally hot boyfriend) and also be as physically, emotionally, and mentally healthy as possible. This site is basically my own tips, ideas, and knowledge about what works for me, and what might possibly work for you!
A little bit of background. I have had problems with disordered eating the past, and still occasionally struggle with them. Anorexia, binge eating and purging, and over-exercising are all serious problems that affect so many people (especially girls). Along with these problems, I also drank and smoked way too much. After high school, I got into a really bad relationship and began cutting. I was basically going into a downwards spiral, and I gained weight. Basically I felt uncomfortable and unhappy and I needed to change it. Now that I have someone great in my life, I am trying to overcome my issues and become strong and healthy. While I still struggle with a lot of my issues, I try to take a positive attitude and I'm trying to learn to love myself no matter my size/weight/appearance.
My favourite workouts to do would be:
- Zumba
- Running
- Horseback riding
- Hiking
- Swimming
- Good ol' physical labour! (I'm Finnish, I can't help it. I like to work.)

Oh, and another thing. I don't believe that the scale is an accurate evaluation of your body. Maybe I'll get to 135 lbs, and maybe I won't. I just want to look really great and if that's at 140 lbs, then so be it! Inches and reaching goals I set for myself are way more important to me.
I have no before and after pictures right now. They will come eventually! (Once I get sexier). I do have progress pictures though.

JANUARY GOALS
- work out 4 - 5x a week
- drink 2L water daily(almost)
- cut back on meat and dairy
- try new healthy recipes
- get down to 143 pounds
- once a week, have a 2 hour workout
- have 1 green tea/day
- cut back on aspartame, MSG and sugar
FEBRUARY GOALS
- do 20 'real' push ups (not the modified version on my knees) in a row I'm at 13!!
- for one month, cut back completely on red meat (only poultry and fish)
- get under 140 lbs
- try Chia seeds
- continue with other January goals
- try a vegetable and fruit I've never tried before dragonfruit and kale...loved the dragonfruit, wasn't crazy about kale, but I put it in my smoothies so it's okay :)
- replace soy milk with regular milk whenever I can
- try quinoa!
Okay, not my best month, but I did spend a week in Cuba and I did lose some weight and I made a lot of gains so I'm okay with it! I'll keep going for March!

- continue to cut back on red meat & dairy
