"HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY HALLOWEEN FROM A RANDOM SELECTION OF THE MOONGUTS FAMILY." Today marks kind of a big deal in my little series of sketches. Not only is there a whole host of members Moonguts' present but I've upgraded my setup. Dropping $35 on pens, pencils and a snazzy Rhodia pad means I'm taking this to the next level. Posture are bitching but I was finding myself hampered by the limits of size and media. The pens and pencils are both Staedtler's. the local art shoppe didn't have Redwings but Staedtler's and I go way back to when I was a kid drawing Star Wars and Battlestar Galactica things in the margins of notebooks. I'm already amazed at how much easier drawing is on the Rhodia pad. And then the pens move smoothly and give me a nice range of widths and shadings options. Forgot my eraser at home sadly but I got by today.
