16. What book has been on you TBR pile the longest?

Probably A Million Dunes by Emily Henry. I still have an ARC for it, even though the book came out in May 2017. I do have to say that I never have a huge physical TBR pile, though - I’ll take the occasional  proof copy from the bookstore where I work, but if I buy or borrow a ‘finished’ book, I do so with the intent to get to it quickly.My Goodreads TBR, on the other hand, is out of control.

21. Do you write?Yes and no. I have a story that I’ve been working on (on and off) for about a decade and a half, but I don’t expect it to go anywhere and I don’t even know if I’ll ever finish it. It’s just for me.

40. How do you feel when you find a typo/spelling error in a book?I’m a linguist (or half a linguist, anyway - I never did finish that MA) and a bit of a perfectionist, so I’m afraid I don’t handle it all that well. Obviously I understand and accept that these things happen and it’s not like I’m angry at the author or publisher or anything, but usually I do feel a little sad that no one picked up on it. That said, it’s not like I never make typos.

49. Worst book you’ve ever read?I’m not sure about EVER, but a recent read that I did not enjoy was The Surface Breaks by Louise O’Neill, which is a shame, because I was really looking forward to it.

50. Do you read classics? If so, what’s your favourite?I have a BA in English Language and Culture, so I’ve had to read my fair share of classics, but it’s not really for me and I wouldn’t say I have a favourite. Jane Eyre will always have a special place in my heart because it’s the first literature book I read for my studies, but even that one I didn’t particularly enjoy. It’s just not really my thing.

Btw, I found this tutorial (if I can name it so) on how to read Gallifreyan, it might be useful!

So, I`m going to focus a little on Klingon. The resources are quite easy to find (I can still make a big post of them, btw, if needed), so I didn`t put effort into presenting them, but here are some great things I found related to this:

3. What are your hobbies?

Mostly reading and writing.  But I really like folk and partner dance a lot too!

18. What’s your favorite name in your target language(s)?

Mmmmm….I have no idea.  I love names so much and I hate choosing favorites.  Though I guess if I could change my pseudonym here it would be to Jola, Zosia, or Adriana.  For guys, I really like Marcin, Mateusz, and Sebastian.

19. What’s your favorite cultural aspect of your target language(s)?

The food and the folk costumes I think.  

32. What is the hardest word to pronounce in your first language?

…There was a time a while ago where I couldn't pronounce pacific.  Now words appear whenever I have to read anything out loud.

34. Would you suggest books or movies that you like in your first language?

Oh gosh.  Well, I’m sure everyone is aware of all the English media that is floating around.  Ruta Sepetys is great as is Markus Zusak if you like YAish. City of Stairs is amazing and I will fight whoever says it isn’t.  As for movies, I actually don’t watch too many…..Audrey Heburn’s films are some of my favorites though.

12.   Most annoying character?

Ahh well I used to think River was really annoying haha, but I’ve warmed up to her by now! Maybe Mel? (I’ve only seen her in one serial so maybe she gets better, idk lol)

13.   Favorite non-baddie, non-companion, non-doctor character?

Hmm this is hard. Does Romana count? I’ve only seen her from Neverland/Zagreus and City of Death, but I really like her so far! :D

6. Which companion do you most relate to? Ooh that’s tough. Probably a few for different reasons. Mainly Rose overall, mostly just because we were 19 year old shop girls at the time and most of our clothes were punky fish lol. These days it’s harder to tell, we relate to quite a few of them in some way or another.

11. What’s your (most or least) favorite bit of Whoniverse mythology? We like imagining Susan and the Doctor being on Gallifrey and feeling unsafe and wanting to leave. Beyond that we don’t really think about it. Least fave things would be stuff that really just doesn’t feel like the characters like Susan not really being his granddaughter or being a princess or something. We don’t really look into who mythology in general though.

12. What’s your favorite bit of headcanon? Ian and Barbara’s grandson travels with a future Doctor (maybe 13)
