A man went searching. For what? He wasn't quite sure. "I'll know when I find it." He said, looking more. Walking out of the forest, He came on a hill. Where he could see stars, If he laid there and was still. "If I could get there, I could make a wish." He would just have to reach higher To get out of this. He tried and he tried, With his arms stretching higher, People can't fly, so He climbed down the hill And he set it on fire. He watched as it burned, Broken and tired, And he saw a yellow light, And it burned his eyes. On the hill that night, Was a special kind of star. So he reached once more, This time not so far. Little by little, the man Started to hover. Now he waits up high, With the stars hanging over, To grant the next wish. To the next person Who wants to be colder and dumber and deafer than a fish.
