Branko Veljovic tallied a team high 21 points on 9-of-14 from the floor, to go along with 4 rebounds and 3 steals. Dusan Virijevic posted a double-double in his debut with 20 points, 12 rebounds and 2 blocks. Tyrone Berry came up big in the post, hauling in a game high 15 boards and a monstrous 5 blocked shots. Courtney Small put his fingerprints all over this one with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 steals as Team Blue ran away with an 81-70 victory. For Team Orange, Manny Campbell led all scorers with 24 points on an efficient 11-of-15 shooting while also contributing 6 boards, 6 dimes and 3 steals. Jon Semira’s jumpshot was on point, finishing with 13 points which included 3 three-pointers, 7 boards and 4 helpers on the night. Teammate Isiah Swaby registered 15 points on 6-of-11 from the field and added 6 rebounds. In the second bout of the day, Team Black jumped all over Team Yellow early, pushing out to a 13 point advantage by the break and pulling away for a comfortable 77-52 win. Their crisp ball movement and constant fast-break transition offense proved to be too much for their undermanned opponents. Jordon Campbell led all scorers with 21 points on a highly efficient 9-of-13 from the floor, and teammate Dane Smith contributed 17. For Team Yellow, Nem Stankovic racked up a team high 20 points and 8 boards. Papa Oppong compiled 16 points and 4 boards, and Craig Hanson dominated the glass with a league high 24 boards. To wrap up the afternoon, we had Team Green Square off against Team Red in an action packed thriller. Denny McDonald threw down a couple nasty two-handed flushes, capping off his night with a team high 22 points on 11-of-17 shooting to go along with 6 boards and 3 rejections. Aaron Duncan tallied a double-double with 12 points and 10 boards, and was solid defensively with 4 steals and 2 blocks. Big man Iffy Ehirim also registered a double-double on the night with 14 points and 10 rebounds as Team Green were able to hang on for a 77-71 victory. For Team Red, Mark Gomillia recorded a game high 23 points which included 9-of-17 from the floor and a near perfect 5-of-6 from the charity stripe. Kamar Burke was solid in his debut with 14 points and 13 boards, and Jordan Wynter added 10 points and 10 boards. Megacity Basketball Inc.
