My only question for those who hc popular tfs as transfem or gender swap them, is do you interact or at least look into the other female characters that aren't the well known ones (arcee, elita-one, arachnid, windblade etc.)? Like,,, there's a tone of female tfs who are super interesting across continuities (override, strika and esmeral come to mind) and its a little disappointing to not see them get more love (or give them hcs)

I think Megaempress as a character would be a lot cooler if she didn’t have the power to seduce any male transformer. Idk but the power rubs me the wrong way, it kinda implies that Cybertronian society is heteronormative (which I’m not a fan of) and just feels lame. I’d be chill if she was just occasionally a seductress, but imagine having a super power and it’s just “I can make all the boys want to fuck me” I’m not a big fan of that. Also her being Megatron’s clone would be a lot cooler and more interesting if it was explored beyond just “I want to fuck Megatron.” Her character oozes of wasted potential, and if she absolutely has to come back eventually I hope she’ll have major writing changes

I think I finally figured out why I never particularly cared for Megaempress or any of her guards (aside from the fact their creator is a misogynistic hackjob writer)

You remember those old youtube videos made by dorkly or whatever where they'd make fun of 'bad' and 'cringe' Sonic the Hedgehog ocs/fanfics? That's what they remind me of.

"Megatron's crazy long lost sister who's also in love with him who can also seduce any male transformer and is also the leader of a combiner team" feels like a purposely shitty concept someone who hates fanfiction would come up to make fun of fanfics.

honestly, I for one am a Megaempress fan. I think she is awesome and conceptually interesting. But I honestly understand what the critical confessions are saying: in execution, her character and concepts were done dirty! The idea of a female clone of Megatron, a combiner team leader, with a huge cannon on her back with a charismatic personality is fun and I quite like it. However I also understand that her seduction power just makes her feel sexist and gross to people- and I get it, it irked me too @-@ I hope that she’ll come back in the future but with better writing, I think she’s quite neat and would love to see her concepts further explored without the sexist aspects of her character being abused.

just saw someone say they wish Megaempress would come back and I just scrunched my nose and had to scroll away because nooo, not the misogynistic stereotype slop character. Any character but her. But don’t praise her her ass doesn’t deserve it…

to add onto my appreciating Megaempress confession, I also agree with some points I’ve seen around the fandom that Trickdiamond is more like a female Swindle than her own character. I agree! They don’t do much to make her feel less like Swindle and more like her own character, outside of making her get bashful when in embarrassing situations. Which is why I propose this concept: Trickdiamond being the book smarts to Swindle’s street smarts. I got this idea from the the pilot for the Fairly Odd Parents where Cosmo and Wanda had this dynamic, and because Trickdiamond was drawn wearing a pair of some nerdy looking glasses, I thougujt this could help make her feel more interesting than just girl Swindle.
