Megatron has a terrible temper. Grimlock is somehow the voice of reason, and he is none too happy about it.

Maybe mind-controlling the angry dinosaur to obey you and still letting him keep some of his personality wasn’t the best idea…

Any deadlock/drift pairing ideas prompts? He’s my least researched mtmte/idw character, which is weird because i write ratchet and rodimus and wing! all the time so i’m wondering if i gotta attach the guy to someone else to actually explore him more.

Deadlock and Megatron could work. Exploring how he got sucked into the decepticons and really working out his earlier motivations. Leaning on Megatron singling him out and using all of Deadlock’s anger to really turn him to the cause. Could also be them on the Lost Light instead, after everything is over and they try to become better together despite everything.

Could also do him and Perceptor, since Drift is the reason he starts turning his frame into something more combat oriented, alongside believing he owes a debt to Drift. Being in the first group of autobots he meets after leaving the decepticons, there could definitely be an exploration of guilt and changing yourself and interacting with people you’ve hurt before there.

You mentioned Wing so I won’t go too into it, but there are great fics about when Drift was first brought to Crystal City exploring their characters together.

I was feeling bad about what a mess the tags were on this older fic, sooo tonight I cleaned them up, and tagged more appropriately for the relationships currently appearing, or projected for end game. (Hopefully it's not too many tags overall?)
