i want you likeminded weirdos to know that my husband is raising money for trans lifeline by playing mega man 2 this weekend, and you can help! he did this once last year—we raised $4K, hell yeah—and now he's doing it again, with some tweaks:
Frankly, it would be unfair to do a repeat of the previous Megamanathon, as my skill continues to grow to ever-more-dizzying heights. I mean, I don’t want to bully poor old Al Wily. So, in the interest of fairness, I’ve built a little something down in my own laboratory: I pulled apart a ROM of Mega Man 2 and created a version of the game that — among other things — has the maximum HP fixed at 1. That’s right, one-hit KO Mega Man 2. I so much as graze any hitbox, and boom. For fear that I will never financially cover, I’m starting at $5 for Trans Lifeline for each and every Blue Bomber blown up — and once again, that goes up a dollar for every $100 you all donate, to a maximum of fifteen dollars donated every single time I get hit.
so i ask you: would you like to watch someone stream mega man 2? would you like to see someone who's very good at mega man 2 (literally, this is a matter of court record, but it's a long story so just take my word for it) be publicly bad at it due to his own hubris? would you like to help raise a shit ton of money for our trans siblings by showing up, distracting him, and making him play worse? I KNOW I WOULD
