Dreamworks is monitoring the watch numbers VERY closely! The more we stream it, the more likelihood we will get more content!

I saw the trailer for Megamind 2 movie, and I was extremely underwhelmed with the character designs. So, I took it upon myself to redesign the characters. (More coming soon, I promise.)

There's some ideas I am throwing out as far as this redesign goes:

- her eyes glow when using her powers, sparking with electricity.

- her hair is white when she's not using her powers (like Storm from the x-men, tee hee)

- her headband is either the source of powers or helps her control them (maybe both?)

- her hair changes into her stormy-like hair when she's feeling emotional, mainly focusing on emotions like anger or sadness.

- focused solely on bad weather and natural disasters rather than just weather in general, removing the need for bright or sunny colors.

If anyone would like to expand or adapt on the character design, be my guest!

The TV Kids Festival wraps with a conversation with Eric Fogel, executive producer of DreamWorks Animation’s Megamind Rules!

So I saw the new Megamind trailer, and I’m hoping to look past the animation. There are multiple reasons I’m not really looking forward to the sequel thanks to the trailer, but my main and biggest issue is how… just off Megamind is. I may be remembering wrong, but I don’t remember him being this ignorant to his actions in the original. Yes, he bantered at Metroman and didn’t realise how repetitive their trope was, and he was very show-offy when taking over the city, but he never actually wanted to hurt anyone, nor did he do anything all that life threatening like how he never actually hurt Roxanne when he kidnapped her and genuinely liked doing good things for people the more he got treated like a normal citizen for once. There was the rays he tried on Metroman, but when it seemed like he was actually winning even he was surprised, and was all “you good?” when Metroman acted his ass off.

Giving a child a potential flash grenade doesn’t seem like something he would do, especially when his responsibility is now officially keeping people out of harm’s way. In the first film he probably would’ve saved a family out of unintentional reflex instead of going “oh yeah, they need saving”.

Plus, something about how they frequently reference clips from the first movie rubs me the wrong way. It’s not so much we don’t have the idea for the plot, sure, but it reminds me a little bit of Mean Girls 2 where they showed so much stuff from the OG as if begging the audience to remember that this is a sequel to the beloved first film.

Try to watch it in a way that the creators get paid. Although the WGA Strike is over, many writers are trying to recover financially. The original writers for the movie have been writing for the series! Help them out! Every little bit counts!

Dreamworks monitors the number of times it's watched and if we continue to stream it as much as we can, there is a higher likelihood that they will continue to create more Megamind Content.

As much as we love Shrek and Kung Fu Panda, the Megamind Fandom has been without ANY new content for ALMOST 13 years! WE NEED THIS!!

Book Club resuming!

Whew! This winter was a rough one to brain ANYTHING! Book club took a bit of a backseat in lieu of Christmas movie parties in the server and other holiday celebrations. January was, apparently, about recovery.

With the announcement of the Megamind Sequal (Megamind Vs. The Doom Syndicate) and The Series (Megamind Rules!) airing on Peacock March 1st;

We'll be kicking off Book Club again about Mid-March/April time frame!
