I wanted to like Saving Hope so badly because Erica Durance . . . but . . . I don't know that I've actually seen a full episode . . .

I started watching it because of Michael Shanks and at the beginning I thought it’s okay, but a bit very unoriginal.

I really loved Erica Durance and her chemistry with Shanks, so I decided to stick around for few more episodes and I’m glad I did. It still isn’t sparkling with bright new ideas and kind of reminds me of early Grey’s Anatomy but I don’t think they really wanted to go in a new direction with the whole coma patients drama in the first place.

Instead there’s actual character development, Durance and Shanks made me ship Alex/Charlie like crazy even though I rarely like established relationships that are thrown into my face right off the bat, but as it turns out I’m sucker for the few minutes we get to see a glimpse of their relationship. And it’s not just them now, I like the whole cast, but I do think that it’s a type of a show that grows on you gradually.

So far, each new episode is better than the previous one so I’m getting my hopes up and my heart broken. If you are thinking about giving it another chance I’d say watch 1x07 and see if it’s still not working for you.

at least they bothered writing a throw away line about how different Nellie is, lol, I didn't expect that much. It is a funny explanation though.

LOL yeah I’m surprised they gave us that much. I’ll take it, I guess — the only thing about her characterisation that HAS been consistent is that she is good at manipulating people, and trying to manipulate her own image in the show to get more screentime plays into that.

I’m guessing you mean in person. I kinda hugged someone from my course earlier when I made a hilarious joke and they were like “oh my gosh I love you.” I think the last person I properly hugged was my friendling on Sunday when she went home.
