@cookie-moi wrote the first half of this a few days ago and then abandoned us to go on holiday or something (priorities, seriously), so I finished it off.

We quite liked it, so here it is as part of the @acgasfanchallenge Prompt - "everybody makes mistakes"

Everybody makes mistakes. But some mornings they come back to haunt you.

Well, Audrey made her bed - now she has to sleep in it.

I had planned to ask for Innocent physical contact + Scars for Ted x Rebecca. But then I just belly flopped over 85 and 86. I didn't mean to turn you on + Aroused by her voice ... and now I beg of you to indulge this wary traveler. xD

I tweaked the first prompt a bit to suit me, but the meaning's the same!

Rebecca woke up that day feeling off, her nose was runny, her throat scratchy. Fortunately, though, she wasn’t sporting a fever to go along with it, so she went to work unbothered. She’d have some tea throughout the day and it should get better.

Ted knew something was off about her the minute he stepped into her office that morning, furrowing his eyebrows before he even finished saying his hellos. Her eyes looked glassy and her nose was red. It honestly looked like she’d been crying.

“Hey, sweetie, you okay?” he asked, crossing her office in quick strides, making his way around her desk.

“I’m fine. Bit under the weather is all,” his concern bringing a smile to her face, making her feel all that better at simply having him near her.

“Ooh,” his eyebrows went up for a split second, “your voice…”

“Yeah, my throat’s a bit stuffed. Some tea should help.” She saw something pass across his face before he sat on the edge of her desk.

“It’s gotten a bit lower,” he gestured towards his own throat. “Your voice, I mean.”

“Did it?”

He swallowed hard and nodded, his eyes flicking down to her lips, “Yeah.”

“Oh-kay,” she shot him a last glance before she reached for her planner. “Are you still okay with having the conference moved an hour after the training? We couldn’t move Isaac’s Rolos endorsement press thing,” she started writing down the schedule for the day. “Out of all the candy…” she shook her head in disbelief, “I love him, but his taste in sweets is questionable at best.”

Rebecca stopped writing in her planner, finding his silence on the subject of anything sugar-related confusing, only to find him staring at her intently. His eyes a shade darker to what they were a minute ago, his lower lip caught between his teeth.

She knew that look well enough by now. She reclined back in her chair, and darted her eyes to the front of his khakis, only to raise one of her brows. “Are you seriously getting turned on right now?”

He smiled mischievously and leaned back on his hands, “Can you blame me? That’s your bedroom voice.”

She tilted her head back, “My-”

Ted started leaning forward, his eyes darting from her eyes, down to her lips and back. “You sound like that when I-”

“Good morning!”

They both jolted up as Higgins entered the office.

Ich bin zwar noch nicht gegen corona geimpft worden, möchte aber zustimmen, dass impfnadeln kaum bis garnicht Schmerzen. Und nach meiner Erfahrung mit Blutspenden kann ich sagen, dass Nadeln weniger pieksen, wenn man demonstrativ in die andere Richtung schaut. ^^'

!! Danke!  Ich persönlich kneife mich immer wenn die Nadel reingeht damit ich es nicht merke. Ich weiß noch nicht mal warum das Theater, weil mein Arzt da sehr gut ist, aber ich kann das irgendwie nicht. Ich kann auch in Filmen fröhlich gucken wie jemand zusammengeschlagen oder malträtiert wird oder so - aber dann holt einer eine Spritze raus und ich bin 😬😬
