Rob Liefeld began his career provided pin-ups for "Megaton" comics, with "Megaton Explosion" #1 (July 1987) featuring the earliest incarnation of his future "Youngblood" team. Unfortunately, the comic was later canceled, so Liefeld had to hold off on his creation till later.
