I’ll never forgive superhero “deconstructions” for making people believe that people who have incredible powers and choose to do the right thing with them - for no other reason than it being the right thing - is boring, and that the assholes mass murdering criminals are more interesting. Because that’s the core message I’ve attached to all of my own superheroes: being a hero means doing the right thing, at all times, even if you don’t want to. It means helping people because you have the power to. It means never taking a life if it can be avoided.

Give these people a 90/2000s Image-style book and they’d probably think it’s the coolest shit ever. The nerve.
